Although kickboxing still offers some valuable and top fighters, the impression of the sport is declining rapidly.

Among the world’s kickboxing promotions, Glory and ONE are leaders. Glory and ONE are leaders. Slightly smaller organizations such as Enfusion, and KOK Fight, are also there.

When it comes to the heavyweight division, Rico Verhoeven, Badr Hari, Gokhan Saki, and even Antonio Plazibat are some of the biggest stars. There are also top fighters in other categories. But the United States does not have fighters at the top of this sport.

Kickboxing is quite popular among Europeans, Asians, and some African countries (Morocco, for example). But in the United States, people simply don’t show much interest in the sport.

UFC champion Aljamain Sterling was a guest on the podcast of Joe Rogan. Both he and Rogan commented on this topic, and both were shocked by the lack of this sport’s popularity in the US. Sterling was also annoyed that MMA fans would complain about fighters wrestling during their bouts. They can also just watch kickboxing instead.

.

Rogan commented about the sport and said that you need to understand what is going on during the fights as a real fan. All aspects of martial arts are used in it, and you can look at it if you are interested. In this opinion, the real essence of MMA is to know everything about it.

“I’m surprised that sport [kickboxing], like you know sometimes those fans that complain and go, ‘Oh, they just wrestled the whole time,’ well like, why isn’t kickboxing a more significant sport over here [the United States]? He said.

Rogan said, “I don’t get it like it’s everything you want to see that you b**ch about in MMA.” He was more into criticizing MMA fans who constantly complain about the fighters.

Joe Rogan also said that true fans need to know all aspects of the fight to enjoy it better. Otherwise, they can’t appreciate the efforts that go into it. The popularity of this sport can contribute more to the sport in America, but the conditions don’t seem like that.

Aljamain Sterling Appreciated Joe Rogan for his Amazing Work Ethic and Hard Work.

Aljamain said, “This man’s hustle and work ethic are admirable!. I got extra motivation while coming back from the Joe Rogan show again. They have built a new wellness playground.”

“There are also some things that we are working on, and I think you guys will like those. Stay Tuned!” he added.

There are no words on when Sterling will be in the cage or against whom he will compete. The UFC has been making a real run to organize events in New York. However, Aljamain Sterling may have some chances to fight this year, close to his home. Let’s see how STerling performs in these fights.

But, more importantly, would the popularity of kickboxing increase in the United States soon? Let us know what your thoughts are about it!
